All our castings are made to customer specifications in terms of steel grades, chemical composition, heat treatment, hardness and paint specifications. We design and manufacture patterns in house ensuring further savings to our customers.
Elmacast has the added benefit of running three different types of production lines. The details and benefit of each line are described below:
- Fast Loop Green Sand Moulding line:
- Used to produce smaller type castings that can fit into a 600 x 600 x 600mm mould box. Typical net weight of these castings ranges from 2.5Kg to 100Kg
- The line is used for high volume consistently required parts/castings ranging from hundreds to thousands of per month.
- The green sand used in the moulding practice together with the high volume requirements makes this a very cost effective production line for smaller type castings
- The line is however dedicated to the production of SG and Cast Iron metal Grades
- This line has a total capacity of 150 tons per month
- Light line moulding bay
- This is a Jobbing production line used to produce small to medium type castings ranging from 5kg up to 200kg castings.
- An Acid set phenolic sand system is used on this line which allows Elmacast to cast numerous grades of Ferrous metal alloys on it.
- The production capacity of this line is 100 tons per month
- Heavy line moulding bay
- This Jobbing production line is used to produce castings lager than 200kg nett weights up to a maximum of 4.5 tons per single casting depending on the metal grade.
- The same sand system is used as on the light line allowing numerous Ferrous metal alloy Grades to be produced on the line.
- The production capacity of this line is 200 tons per month
